Raul Estrada

Hi, my name is Raul Estrada Jr. (my mom couldn’t think of another name; there were only 1,759 to choose from), the chief, but by no means sole contributor to Gables Condo Blog. I will be doing most of the writing, photographing and experiencing associated with this site, while my partner, Adrian Salgado, grinds coffee beans, steams milk, cleans the espresso machine, scrubs the office toilet, takes lunch orders, and shreds paper.

Born in Miami and raised in Hialeah, Florida, I attended and graduated from Florida International University (FIU) with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education for the Emotionally Disturbed in 2001. After college, I willingly joined the Miami-Dade School Board “system”, where I had the wonderful and challenging opportunity to educate severely emotionally disturbed children for over 4 years.

At around the same time, I transplanted to the Coral Gables area and built an extensive vocabulary in English. Licensed for just over 4 years (at the time), a lifestyle change inspired me to pursue real estate full time in 2005.

In my “free time”, I enjoy fishing, donning wet suits and scuba gear, spending quality time with my family, traveling, and watching paint dry on matte surfaces.
