Adrian Salgado

Mi nombre es Adrian Salgado, the chief, but by no means sole contributor to Gables Condo Blog. I will be doing most of the writing, photographing and experiencing associated with this site, while my partner, Raul Estrada, answers and returns phone calls and emails, reviews contracts, updates databases, analyzes sales trends and chases paper.

Born and raised within City of Miami limits, I majored in International Business and graduated from Florida International University (FIU) in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business (boring). While attending FIU, I managed the multi-million dollar inventory of Hewlett Packard’s Latin American Distribution Organization in Miami (very boring). Upon graduation, I worked at the Department of Property Appraisal in Miami-Dade County for over 4 years and served as a Real Estate Evaluator in the department’s Condominium Division (interesting in more ways than one).

While employed by Miami-Dade County, I used the system loved my experience at Florida International University so much the first time around that I went back for more. This time I earned a master degree in Public Administration and set out to administrate the public. After learning, rather quickly, that most (not all) public administrators do very little administrating i.e. make any meaningful decisions that improve our quality of life, I decided to become a Realtor and serve the public in a meaningful way.

In my “time off”, I enjoy jogging until I cramp, listening to good music, participating in subcultures, and taking part in pseudo-intellectual conversations.
